There are a couple of personal websites I would like to share with
friends and family, and since grivel.net is mine, I am using
the domain to do this. These personal websites are not related to
genealogy at all, so if you're coming to grivel.net for the
genealogy, please return to the main
- Around the United States in
8 weeks, the Web blog of our eight-week vacation around the U.S.
in 2007. On this trip we traveled over 15,000 miles through 36 states.
The site contains diary entries from all four of us (Eric, Nicoline,
Frank and Mark), photos from the trip, and comments left by our
friends and family.
- Explore I-70, the Web blog
of the 2012 trip Nicoline and Eric took to explore the entire length
of Interstate 70, from its eastern terminus in Baltimore, Maryland to
its western terminus in Cove Fort, Utah. Almost 7,000 miles of travel
in just under four weeks. The most interesting part is the September
diary, which tells of our trip to the western end of I-70 and back,
but there are also other entries in April through August about other
excursions related to I-70.
- Maine, the Web blog
of the 2013 trip Nicoline and Eric took up the East Coast to Maine and
Canada. Over 3,200 miles in 19 days.
- Europe, the Web blog
of the 2014 trip Nicoline and Eric took to Ireland, London, Brussels
and the Netherlands.
- New Orleans,
the Web site created for the trip Eric, Nicoline, Frank, Mark and
Mark’s girlfriend Jenny took to New Orleans to celebrate
Eric and Nicoline’s 25th anniversary in May 2015.
- Oklahoma, the Web blog of the road trip
Eric and Nicoline
took to visit Oklahoma and other states in September 2015.
